The other day I saw a post by "This Old House" on Facebook about house history. I know ours was built in 1916 and has two huge wooden beams running the length of the house. It also has a few other cool things like hardwood floors (that I'm guessing is gorgeous , a floor heater vent thingy (no, I'm not up to date on my terms!) a heating system that runs through the house with channels for the piping in the upper corners of each room and so on.
